Settla Bills

Settla Bills ("the App") is developed and published by AppFactory Lab ("we", "us", "our"), based in Israel. This privacy policy explains what data the App processes, how it is stored, your rights under applicable data protection laws, and how to contact us.

This policy applies to all users of the App, regardless of location, and is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, and Apple's App Store requirements.

Data You Enter

When you use Settla Bills, you may enter:

• Bill names (e.g., "Rent", "Netflix")
• Bill amounts
• Due dates and recurrence schedules
• Reminder preferences
• Optional notes

This data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. We have no ability to access, read, or retrieve your data.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
• No bank account or credit card information
• No payment processing (bills are tracked, not paid)
• No location or GPS data
• No contacts or address book access
• No advertising identifiers (IDFA/IDFV)
• No analytics, usage metrics, or behavioral tracking
• No crash reports or diagnostic data
• No cookies, pixels, or fingerprinting
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Since Settla Bills does not collect or process any personal data on our servers, there is no data processing that requires a legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR. All data entered into the App is processed locally on your device under your sole control.

Apple processes payment data for in-app purchases under its own privacy policy and acts as an independent data controller for that processing.

Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the GDPR. Because we do not collect or store any personal data, most of these rights are satisfied by default:

• Right of access — We hold no personal data about you
• Right to rectification — You can edit your data directly in the App
• Right to erasure — Delete bills by swiping, or uninstall the App to remove all data
• Right to data portability — Your data exists only on your device; you may export it via the App's export feature (Pro)
• Right to restrict processing — No server-side processing occurs
• Right to object — No profiling or automated decision-making occurs
• Right to lodge a complaint — You may contact your local Data Protection Authority

Your Rights Under CCPA (California Users)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

• Right to know — We do not collect, sell, or share personal information
• Right to delete — All data is on your device; delete it at any time
• Right to opt-out of sale — We do not sell personal information to any party
• Right to non-discrimination — We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights

Categories of personal information collected in the preceding 12 months: None.

Israeli Privacy Protection Law

AppFactory Lab is based in Israel and complies with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (PPL) and its regulations. Because the App does not collect personal data or maintain a database of personal information, no registration with the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority (PPA) is required.

Israeli users have the right to access, correct, and delete their personal data. Since all data resides on your device, you exercise these rights directly through the App.

Push Notifications

Settla Bills uses Apple's local notification system to remind you before bills are due. Notifications are scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter framework. No notification content or schedule data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings > Settla Bills > Notifications.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Settla Bills offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans (Settla Bills Pro) through Apple's App Store:

• Monthly: $3.99/month
• Yearly: $29.99/year

All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. AppFactory Lab does not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Third-Party Services

Settla Bills does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers. The App communicates only with Apple's StoreKit 2 framework for in-app purchase validation, which is handled entirely by Apple's operating system.

International Data Transfers

Because all user data remains on your device and is never transmitted to any server, no international data transfer occurs. There is no cross-border processing of personal data.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. We have no server-side data retention because we have no server-side data. When you delete a bill or uninstall the App, the data is permanently removed from your device.

Data Security

Your data is protected by the security measures built into your Apple device, including device encryption, biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID), and the iOS sandboxing model that prevents other apps from accessing Settla Bills' data. Since no data leaves your device, there is no risk of server-side breaches.

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Delete individual bills by swiping left in the App
• Delete all data by uninstalling the App from your device

No data persists on any external server after deletion. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Settla Bills does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). The App does not collect personal information from any user of any age. The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain content unsuitable for children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us. However, since the App collects no data and transmits nothing, no personal information can be disclosed.

Do Not Track

Settla Bills does not track users in any way. The App honors Do Not Track signals by default because no tracking of any kind occurs.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date and "Last updated" timestamp. Since the App collects no data, significant changes to data practices are unlikely. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Governing Law

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Israel.
